How often does the menu change?

We rotate at least four new menu items in each month. This number can grow depending on the season so you’ll want to check in frequently and see what new dish looks delish.

Where do you deliver to?

We currently deliver to the middle of the map in the US. We are temporarily not delivering to the western region (California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Idaho), or the eastern side (Connecticut, Washington DC, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Florida). We hope to open up to all of these states before the end of the year.

Why is shipping different this week vs last week?

Generally this happens when UPS is closed (most major holidays). If you have any concerns please let us know and we will accommodate as best we can (but give us some slack, we don't run UPS).

Can I change my order?

Sure! If you have a subscription you can change it on your dashboard. If your subscription has already been billed, reach out to our customer service. We will try to accommodate as best we can.

Can I cancel my subscription?/Is there a cancellation fee?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. There is no fee. But please note:  Once your subscription is charged for the week, we cannot issue a refund. If you want to pause or cancel, you’ll want to do that before it bills again. If you ever want to adjust this, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team.

All subscriptions will have a recurring charge that falls on the same day of the week that your subscription was created.

My order has the wrong address, what do I do?

If it has not charged yet, you can fix that in your account settings. If it has already been billed, please reach out to us and we can fix it!

Are meals shipped out frozen or fresh?

Fresh. While freezing your meals is possible, it's a personal decision. We think fresh is best. Always.

How are meals kept fresh in transit?

Our boxes keep your food cold with recyclable/reusable insulation and ice packs.

How does my food arrive?

From our kitchen to yours: Meals are packed in boxes that are insulated (recyclable!),  and we use ice packs to keep everything super cold. From there, they make the trek into the great beyond via our friends at UPS.

When will my meals be delivered?

We cook and ship meals every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Orders placed before Sunday 10AM CST ship Monday.

Orders placed before Monday 10AM CST ship Tuesday.

Orders placed before Tuesday 10AM CST ship Wednesday.

Orders placed before Thursday 10AM CST ship Monday*.

*Since we ship fresh food, not frozen, we do not ship food over the weekend.

Please refer to Customer Service for delivery estimates specific to your locale.

How long can meals be refrigerated?

Our food is fresh. As in, no freezer in sight. Each meal includes a “best by” date that is generally 6-7 days after arrival (more if you’re closer to our kitchen).

If you can’t eat the meals on time, most of our dishes are able to be kept safely in your freezer. When in doubt, reach out to Customer Service!

Can I recycle packaging?

YOU BETCHA!

Ways to recycle your shipping materials:

Break the box down and take it to your local facility or utilize curbside recycling if it’s available in your area. Tape multiple together and make a fort. Also great for moving or storage.

The gel ice packs are #4 plastic, like shopping bags. They are recyclable, but generally not curbside. These must go to your local recycling center or any place that collects shopping bags. The gel must go into the garbage, it is NOT drain safe. In some areas, you can donate the ice pack to a local food pantry. <—check that out!

Food trays – Rinse these off before putting in your curbside recycling.

Paleo? Never heard of her...

In its simplest and strictest form, Paleo is a way of eating that attempts to replicate the food of our Paleolithic ancestors. This is believed to be the most natural way of eating. Evolve interprets this as eating meals that contain meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds and berries.

What does each meal style mean to Evolve?

Paleo: Meat. vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, berries. Includes sweeteners of honey, coconut sugar, and agave.

Primal: Paleo + Rice + Full fat Cheese

Evolve 30: Paleo minus all sweeteners.

Keto: A meal with less than 15 net carbs. No processed sugars or grains.

How do I heat my meals?

Our meals are fully cooked and easy to heat. They are made for the microwave, but we don’t shy away from a cute airfryer moment.

Microwave: Start with two minutes at half-power and add 30 seconds incrementally until the meal reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

Oven: Remove the meal from the container and heat to an internal temp of 165 degrees.

Stove/air fryer: Same song, different dance. Again, heat to 165 degrees.

Pro Tips: We think anything that has breading should go in the oven/airfryer to amp up the crunch! Vegetables are perfect if you saute them in a pan. Use a microwave for convenience. Always chat us up if you have questions.

What's the best option for losing weight?

Everyone is different and there is no blanket template that works across the board. We all have different body types, lifestyles, habits, metabolism and activity levels. Not to mention that no two people like the same foods. The best way to lose weight is to find a style that is sustainable.

Where do your proteins come from?

Here at Evolve, we provide you with the freshest, most delicious locally-raised meat we can get our hands on! That’s why we’ve teamed up with other “small but mighty” midwest companies that are passionate about creating high quality products for their customers. These local meat producers care as much as we do about the food that fuels your life, so we want you to know a little about them!

 Certified Angus Beef

Certified Angus Beef is a brand dedicated to supplying stores, restaurants, and families with the Highest Quality Angus Beef. To be considered Certified Angus Beef the cows in question must first and foremost be Angus-Influenced with a predominantly black coat. They are then inspected by independent USDA Inspectors and MUST be given the highest quality rating of ‘Prime’. After this, they are evaluated again by Certified Angus Beef inspectors and are subjected to rigorous standards that only 3 out of 10 Angus Cows meet. This unique inspection measures and evaluates marbling, maturity, size, tenderness, and much more. Simply put, Certified Angus Beef is the very best Beef we could find, and we’re proud to serve you the “often imitated but never duplicated” Certified Angus Beef brand!

Beeler’s Pork

Located in Le Mars, Iowa, the Beeler family has been producing succulent, humanely raised Heritage Duroc Pork since 1864. That’s as long as Iowa has been a state! For six generations the Beeler’s have been doing things right, since before the right way became the old-fashioned way. Surpassing USDA standards to be labeled “minimally processed” and holding humane treatment as a top priority, the Beeler’s produce nutritious, hormone and antibiotic free pork that we feel proud to serve you!

*Duroc Pork* - Simply put, Duroc is a Heritage Breed of Pig. Less simply, it’s one of the oldest, most widely-raised breeds in the United States. Farmers love Duroc Pigs because of their speedy muscle development and gentle demeanor. Here at Evolve, we love them because they’re delicious! With impressive marbling and a high percentage of intramuscular fat, this breed is juicer, more tender, and overall tastier than the average pig! That’s why we serve it to you!

Campo Lindo Farms

Located in Lathrop, MO, Campo Lindo Farms has been putting animal welfare first for over twenty years, raising chickens with love and care you can taste! The Laying Hens at Campo Lindo have it good! They spend their days roaming large pastures, having the freedom to chase bugs and scratch hay bales. These loving practices have earned Campo Lindo a “Step 3” designation from the Global Animal Partnership and we couldn’t be more ecstatic to work with this fellow Kansas City company to bring you food that is loved and cared for every step of the way, from the hatching of the egg, to the cracking of the egg.

Wayne Farms

Located all throughout the southeast, Wayne farms is a massive broiler chicken producer, but that doesn’t mean they don’t care about their chickens. Quite the opposite! At Wayne Farms, they believe their “...animal welfare commitment starts with the recognition that chickens are sentient beings…” With the resources of a large company, and the heart of a small one, Wayne Farms has the ability to be at the forefront of animal processing techniques, such as Controlled Atmosphere Stunning, that greatly reduce stress and anxiety. In combination with these technologically advanced techniques, Wayne Farms uses family-run farms to raise their chickens and provide the close attention and care that only a family farm can provide. Wayne Farms is the paragon of a large company using its resources to do things right and produce a quality product. Eat to Evolve is excited to partner with them to bring you delicious, nutritious chicken!

Why are a lot of the meals so high in sodium?

Sodium is generally manifested in salt. Whether this is the salt you taste or a preservative that you do not. Evolve does not use any preservatives so the sodium is coming from the salt you taste.

America, generally speaking, loves salt. We like our food to have flavor and pizazz. The only way to get this flavor naturally is through salt.  We never want your food to taste "salty". But know that every dish does have salt.

Do you have vegetarian or Vegan options?

Not a lot.

We’re not against vegetarian meals, but high quality protein is hard to come by when you are only getting it from plants. We are a soy-free kitchen, so tofu is out of the question for us. We lean into eating styles that follow the principle of ancestral health, which isn’t the case for vegetarian or vegan meals.

Are your meals organic?

Our meals are not 100% organic, but we source all of our ingredients locally and intentionally. Please reach out to our Customer Service team if you have questions about specific ingredients.

Where do you source your meat from?

Chef thoughtfully sources all our meats at Evolve. The litmus test is “What would he feed his kids?”, and then we work from there.

In our kitchen, you’ll find eggs from Campo Lindo Farms, chicken from Wayne Farms, pork from Beeler’s Pure Pork and beef from different midwestern farmers.

Why did you take off my favorite meal?

Like your bedroom when you were a child, we like to rearrange. Most likely, it was a seasonal item. But the best way to get your favorite item back is to tell us! We plan menus a few months ahead, but if we can work it in, we will! We are cool like that.

What if I’m not happy with my meals?

We want you to LOVE our food. If you're not completely satisfied with how things are tasting, reach out to our customer service team and they will make it right. You can chat with them here or email them at cs@eattoevolve.com.
